During October, November and December 2019 the LATWORK English Course: English Training for Research and Innovation was carried out in Universidad Viña del Mar, Chile. This course is being held at all Latin-American institutions partners of the Erasmus + Project “LATWORK Developing research and innovation capacities of Latin-American HEI for the analysis of informal labour market”. Academics and researchers of Universidad Viña del mar, Chile, and from other Universities in the region of Valparaíso, Chile, have participated in this course which ended on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019. The aim of the course was to deliver English language training during two months to facilitate international communication focused on improving the skills in academic English for research. The 16-hour-long course was distributed in 8 face-to-face sessions in which contents delivered were related to both general and specific academic English topics according to the research discipline of the participants which were divided in two groups: social sciences disciplines or health sciences and engineering disciplines. During these sessions, the participants of the course have been able to learn about communication tools in oral and written scientific English in a dynamic and interactive way.
